Actually the craze for introducing a visitor to your website with a music video started about 4 years ago, when Flash came on the scene; peaked a couple of years ago; and today has totally died, except for a few leftover agencies who still think it&#039;s a great idea to waste my time with music and &#039;cool&#039; animation.

State of the art today is, if you click on my website, you get a very clean, clear home page with NO media, and it&#039;s very obvious from the home page who I am, what I have to offer and where on the site you can go to find out more.

I do information architecture for these sites, and write content, and I know you&#039;re right.
